  3. Thank you for taking the time to explain in detail many of the options in the material editer. I was able to have a sun moving accross the sky in a relatively short time with no errors.

  5. Hey Allar, thanks for the video version. I was following the one on the forums and it worked out fine until I connected all the final nodes together. The inputs for the light vector and camera vector give me an error sort of like "Invalid node connection to hulldomainshader input"

  6. Make sure you have it connected your sun/moon to the custom lighting input. The guy used a different version of UDK on his tutorial so you probably just assumed it was the 4th slot from the bottom. (His overview picture wasn't very good)

  7. Hey Allar, non-spinning and informational video here. Tell me what you think. I did a quick rig of the sky in about 5 minutes so while it may not be perfect, I think it's still pretty good.

  10. same problem.. sun is massive. Udkisawesome, did you ever find a solution? The only thing I can think of is in my version the camera vector is blue...? Granted I'm pretty new to all of this.

  11. This tutorial was amazing. I learned a lot watching it. Taking the time to discuss each element of the material and how it ties together really helps.

I never imagine Night/Day cycle worked this way. Once I get it working I'm going to combine it with moving clouds and get the moon working. I assume I will need 3 domes all together: sun dome, moon dome & clouds dome. I want the moon to have a moon texture to it, but that is icing on the cake.

I'm going to allow the player to adjust the time of day via the left/right triggers of the controller. It's gonna be great.

    Thanks again. Much appreciated.

  12. I just completed this tutorial. Took me a week off in my spare evening time. I encountered a few "gotchas" that others may run into too. I detailed them here: http://oculusdrifter.blogspot.com/2013/11/24-hour...
